Abstract
⺠Mercury (Hg) is a widespread persistent pollutant in aquatic ecosystems. ⺠The precise mechanism of chronic Hg hepatotoxicity in organisms is not well known. ⺠A proteomic study of medaka liver by Hg has novel and significant characteristics. ⺠We identified 33 differential protein spots that associate with Hg hepatotoxicity. ⺠The proteomic analysis elucidates the mode-of-action of chronic Hg hepatotoxicity.
