Abstract
► Study of behavioral alterations after exposure to pyrethroids is of large interest. ► Swimming behavior is determinant for the survival of many species of aquatic animals. ► Few studies concerning effects of pyrethroids on ChE showed contradictory results. ► Results showed that swimming velocity inhibition was not related with ChE inhibition. ► Metabolic and physiological disturbances could be the cause of swimming velocity impairments.
