Responses of primary cultured haemocytes from the marine gastropod Haliotis tuberculata under 10-day exposure to cadmium chloride

► Abalone haemocytes were exposed to CdCl2 concentrations for 10 days exposure. ► CdCl2 altered immune parameters. ► PO activity and ROS production were enhanced at environmental concentrations. ► Abalone 10-days primary culture system is suitable for assessing cytotoxic responses.
