Abstract
ⶠThe effect of ambient day length interruption by 10 or 30 days of long photoperiod was investigated in ten garlic genotypes belonging to four bio-morphological groups. ⶠThe competition for resources by the developing bulb and inflorescence sinks differentially determines stalk elongation and flower development in the investigated genotypes. ⶠFlowering in garlic can be promoted by exposure to proper environmental stimuli, during different stages of development.
