Abstract
ⶠThere are about 3430 thousand Crinum americanum individuals in the estuary. ⶠThis species is found in the whole estuary, but occurs more in high salinity areas. ⶠC. americanum presence is denser in areas of intermediary flooding conditions. ⶠSalinity brings competitive and not physiological advantages to C. americanum. ⶠC. americanum is a tolerant species, and yet it is an aggressive competitor.
