Abstract
â¢Civic agriculture requires the empowerment of women farmers through gendered organizations, horizontal networks, and innovative strategies.â¢Community-based farm tours hold potential as a creative civic agricultural strategy and should be implemented by more communities.â¢The value of focus groups as participatory action research aimed to strengthen networks of women farmers is illustrated and affirmed.
