Abstract
⺠We explored the impacts of conflict on people in a forested area of South Sudan. ⺠We used Landsat imagery and interviews to understand some of the effects of war. ⺠Multiple conflicts caused people to hide in forests or flee to nearby areas, including Uganda. ⺠Forest cover loss was minimal in the Reserve and extensive in nearby forests.
