Abstract
⺠We examine how outdoor recreationists assign social values to a protected area setting. ⺠Places on Hinchinbrook carry Aesthetic, Biodiversity, and Recreation qualities. ⺠High priority places are identified using social and ecological data. ⺠Subgroups of recreationists defined by activity type report differing preferences.
