Abstract
⺠Classification approach addressing regional land cover characteristics of Central Asia. ⺠2001 and 2009 land cover classification maps with 250 m resolution and an overall accuracy above 90%. ⺠Vegetation coverage in sparsely vegetated areas is strongly depended on seasonal precipitation. âºÂ Water bodies alteration due to human impact and environmental conditions.
