Abstract
► Using Latent Class Growth Models, eight trajectories of neighbourhood poverty are created. ► Trajectories are based on poverty measured at five time points between 1986 and 2006. ► Neighbourhood poverty increased in some inner-city areas and inner-ring suburbs. ► Gentrification of some central neighbourhoods is observed. ► Selected socioeconomic characteristics of neighbourhoods explain poverty trajectories.
