Abstract
⺠Using Latent Class Growth Models, eight trajectories of neighbourhood poverty are created. ⺠Trajectories are based on poverty measured at five time points between 1986 and 2006. ⺠Neighbourhood poverty increased in some inner-city areas and inner-ring suburbs. ⺠Gentrification of some central neighbourhoods is observed. ⺠Selected socioeconomic characteristics of neighbourhoods explain poverty trajectories.
