Abstract
⺠Arab entrepreneurs in Israel developed industrial and workshop activities in residential areas. ⺠These activities are major sources of environmental nuisances, particularly noise and dust. ⺠Noise is perceived by inhabitants as environmental hazards. ⺠Local authorities need to be involved in monitoring environmental quality and sources of nuisances.
