Abstract
⺠Plans for fuels reduction rarely considers the effects on wildlife habitat. ⺠We compared changes in fisher habitat at Fire and Fire Surrogate sites in California. ⺠We used habitat models to evaluate effects of treatments on predicted habitat value. ⺠There were significant negative effects on predicted resting habitat suitability. ⺠Careful application and monitoring can mitigate the negative effects of treatments.
