Abstract
► We study the recovery potential of six dominant mangrove species. ► Mortality is higher in Bruguiera sexangula and Rhizophora apiculata. ► Species-specific recovery potential is relatively varied. ► Avicennia officinalis is persistent by cyclone impact and harvesting tolerance. ► Mangroves show considerable resilience after cyclone disturbance.
