Abstract
⺠Three levels of release were applied to Oregon white oak suppressed by Douglas-fir. ⺠Diameter growth of fully released oak trees was greatest and increased over time. ⺠Fully released oak trees had greater acorn production than partially released trees. ⺠Released oaks with large crowns had the greatest acorn production and growth. ⺠Long-suppressed oak trees appear capable of rapid recovery following release.
