Abstract
► Post-outbreak salvage harvest reduced advance regeneration by about 50%. ► Post-outbreak forest composition was minimally altered by salvage harvest. ► Effects of salvage harvest on soil inorganic nitrogen availability were minimal. ► Salvage harvest reduced canopy fuels but increased dead woody surface fuels. ► Altered fuels could affect future fire behavior in harvested plots.
