Abstract
⺠CWD carbon quantified across a MAT gradient in Hawaiian tropical montane wet forest. ⺠CWD carbon ranged from 12.2 to 104.6 Mg haâ1 across the MAT gradient. ⺠CWD carbon accounted for an average of â¼17% of total aboveground carbon storage. ⺠CWD carbon storage decreased with increasing MAT. ⺠CWD may become a net carbon source in tropical wet forests with warming.
