Abstract
► Growth, light interception and light-use efficiency were examined in a Eucalyptus nitens plantation. ► Thinning and fertiliser increased crop tree growth, light interception and light-use efficiency. ► Pruning reduced light interception but increased light-use efficiency. ► Relationships between tree leaf area and crown light interception were all linear.
