Abstract
⺠Comparison of tree biomass estimation approaches used in U.S. forest C reporting. ⺠CRM estimates of C stocks were significantly different from Jenkins estimates. ⺠The CRM decreased estimates of national C stocks by an average of 16%. ⺠Differences are due, in large part, to the incorporation of tree height in volume models. ⺠The CRM aligns NGHGI estimates of forest C with estimates of tree volume in the FIA database.
