Abstract
⺠Decreasing subsidies in agriculture demand for alternative farm income sources. ⺠Off-farm income is affected by spatial, as well as household and farm characteristics. ⺠The complex interaction of these characteristics demands for micro-level information. ⺠We developed SIMfarm that combines econometrics, microsimulation and GIS. ⺠Main determinants are the type and scale of the farm, and the accessibility to jobs.
