Abstract
- We develop and apply a planning support tool in the municipal wastewater sector.
- The tool is particularly suitable in the case of high number of plants located in a large spatial area.
- We applied the methodology to large Italian wastewater treatment plants with 26,574,578 total PE.
- Results show how the methodology can assist wastewater infrastructure analysis and planning.
- Our proposal is particularly suitable for government institutions and water utility companies.
