Abstract
⺠Pillared bentonites presented a more developed porosity than Na-bentonites. ⺠The second-order kinetic fit the perchlorate adsorption on pillared bentonites. ⺠The Langmuir model was the best to fit the equilibrium data. ⺠The adsorption process was spontaneous, favorable and endothermic. ⺠Various influential factors were investigated during perchlorate adsorption.
