Abstract
- Apricot stone as an agricultural byproduct was used to produce activated carbon (AC).
- Iron-oxide loaded ACs were synthesized by precipitation method.
- As(V) adsorption performances of Fe(II) and Fe(III) loaded ACs were compared.
- Hybrid adsorbents achieved higher As(V) adsorption efficiency than activated carbon.
- As(V) sorption on adsorbents was occurred via surface complexation and precipitation.
