Abstract
Most existing studies of information diffusion are based on the epidemic spreading model and only consider probability of a user being infected by information as a constant. Also, a few research focused on control of information diffusion. In this paper, we propose a novel immune-based information diffusion (IID) model which simultaneously considers the factors of information tolerance, social reinforcement and memory enhancement. In order to achieve control of information diffusion, we proposed an endocrine-immune-based information diffusion (EIID) model which is inspired by the hormone transfer mechanism. The EIID model can control the proportion of the users who are influenced by information, though activating the effective users under a double gland adjustment mechanism. Simulation experiments show that the EIID model describe the process of information diffusion accurately and achieve effective control of information diffusion.
