Abstract
This article investigates the adaptive finite-time tracking control issue for a class of multi-input and multi-output(MIMO) nonlinear systems with unknown hysteresis via backstepping technique, where unknown nonlinear functions are only required to be continuous. A constructive adaptive backstepping control scheme is presented. The stability and finite-time convergence of the closed-loop system are realized based on a new Lyapunov theory, even though the system states are unmeasurable.
