Abstract
⺠We present two algorithms for ensuring web applications' high availability in cloud systems. ⺠When the component load is known the optimal version can be used. ⺠The sub-optimal algorithm is intended in case the components' load is unknown. ⺠A probabilistic model is used to determine the reliability of the algorithms. ⺠The sub-optimal algorithm is shown to be efficient relative to the optimal solution.
