Abstract
In this paper a new SPICE-compatible model of power LED is proposed. This model takes into account electric, optical and thermal phenomena. It makes it possible to calculate dc non-isothermal electrical characteristics of the examined diode, as well as the value or waveforms of internal temperature, emitted optical power and luminous flux. The form of the worked out model is presented, a method of estimating values of its parameters is described. The results of verification of its correctness are shown for selected types of power LEDs offered by Cree operating at different cooling conditions.
