Abstract
From a literature search on the topic process maturity, maturity in supply chain and certifications in coffee, it has built a maturity model for certified processes in the coffee agribusiness system. Initially, a literature search on the maturity models in processes took place and then from an extensive literature search on maturity models in supply chains, was chosen the maturity model of McCormack et al. (2003). Later, from the code of conduct of UTZ Certified (2015a), the attributes to be valued in this maturity model were selected. Finally, there was the validation of this model for the analysis of experts in process and coffee. The contribution of this paper for agribusiness is centered created maturity model and method of the proposed maturity cycle, identifying the critical points of each firm individually, enabling suggest recommendations for improving processes, allowing the prioritization of efforts and resources by the firm. Moreover, there is the possibility to check common points of improvement in strategic groups to guide collective efforts for better performance results in operations, facilitating collective action and sector policies. In future work will be to validate the relationship of the impact of the certified processes maturity in the performance of firms in the coffee agribusiness segment in Brazil and in other Brazilian and global agribusiness systems.
