Abstract
This paper aims to identify the main characteristics of the Brazilian scientific production and publications on management area regarding to Junior Company (JC) topics, as well as analyze their meaning to the academic formation context. Given the theme importance, we developed a bibliometric research followed by the content analysis in academic publications about the JC thematic on the main management events and journals. A search for the keywords on titles and abstracts from 2004 to 2014 publications was conducted, on which 23 articles were selected. Findings of the bibliometric research indicates that the scientific production on JC fields are poorly developed, showing that this area has much to be explored. The content analysis was conducted though eleven levels of analysis, that reflected the JC meaning as a space where students learn by their experiences, knowledge and skills improved on the junior's advisory. Analysis also allowed indicate that one of the main difficulties of EJ is the immaturity and inexperience of its members, as well as the lack of teacherâadvisor to assist in consulting activities.
