Abstract
⺠It is widely and customarily assumed that Science and Politics should not mix. ⺠The new psychiatric diagnosis of Solastalgia seems to challenge this received wisdom. ⺠Per Goodman and Hacking, scientific classification may affect the objects classified. ⺠Thus its political intent may objectively differentiate the diagnosis of Solastalgia. ⺠If this is so, the received wisdom about Science and Politics requires revision.
