Abstract
A new nanowire electrode design is proposed for the efficient lithium-ion battery system. Stripe- or square-patterned arrays of tin dioxide nanowires are applied for promising electrode platforms and exhibit the improved lithium-ion storage properties, which should be attributed to the effective diffusion of the liquid phase electrolyte through the hollow channels formed between the patterned nanowire arrays.380
