Abstract
Raman spectral studies of characteristic carbon modes on cathode and current collector materials provide a deeper insight on the role of carbon coating in influencing the electrochemical properties. With large sp2 bonded carbon contribution the electrochemical properties were found to be better. Increasing sp3-like disordered carbon at the interfaces leads to larger polarization effects during the charging and discharging cycles.252
