Abstract
Aluminum corrosion process in strong alkaline solutions impairs the functionality of the Al-air battery, due to a drastic capacity loss, massive hydrogen evolution and a short shelf life. In this work, we present a robust and highly efficient hybrid organic∖inorganic inhibitor based on poly (ethylene glycol) di-acid (PEG di-acid)/zinc oxide (ZnO).
