Abstract
144A multifunctional-sensor electrochemical device for the accurate out-of-cell measurement of effective binary anode/cathode diffusivity in fuel cells is proposed. By employing the device, the evaluation errors of effective binary anode/cathode diffusivity, limiting current density and concentration polarization energy loss, can be eliminated at any operating temperature and for any electrode thickness. The electrochemical device facilitates the efficient and accurate pre-evaluation of fuel cell electrodes with a wide range of thicknesses and operating temperatures.
