Abstract
Graphene oxide is firstly directly applied in lithium-ion batteries via the composite of graphite/graphene oxide (defined as GCG) as a high capacity and binder-free anode material. In this electrode, graphene oxide possesses both the functions of lithium storage and of a binder. The electrochemical tests show that the reversible capacity of GCG could reach to â¼700 mA h gâ1 at the current rate of 0.5 C (1 C = 372 mA gâ1).
