Abstract
Nickel nanowire network coatings are designed and fabricated directly on the βâ³-alumina electrolyte surface to effectively alleviate polarization problem at Na/βâ³-alumina interface and decrease the interfacial resistance. The coatings greatly improve the wettability of the βâ³-alumina ceramics by molten sodium. This modification design and the soft-template-assisted synthetic method could be readily extended to any other substrate surfaces with arbitrary shape.
