Abstract
⺠Used fermented sugar in a passive DAFC; only solids >0.2 μm removed from fermentate. ⺠DAFC performance on fermentate can be comparable to that of aqueous ethanol. ⺠Ionic strength and ethanol concentration of the fermentate had the largest effects.
