Abstract
► A high capacity Li2MnSiO4/C nanocomposite was prepared by sol-gel method. ► Amorphous carbon coat on the Li2MnSiO4 crystals uniformly. ► The nanocomposite has a high initial discharge capacity and superior rate capacity. ► The high capacity is ascribed to the nanoparticle size and uniform carbon coating.
