Abstract
► A polypyrrole-coated LiV3O8-nanocomposite was prepared. ► It is suggested as anode material for aqueous rechargeable lithium batteries. ► Polypyrrole acts as a conducting matrix as well as a volume change buffer agent. ► It holds LiV3O8 nanorods inside the particles during the charge/discharge cycles. ► Electrochemical performance of PPy@LiV3O8 is significantly enhanced.
