Abstract
▸ Composite membranes of EMPyr(FH)1.7F ionic liquid and HEMA polymer were prepared. ▸ They are thermally stable up to 423 K. ▸ Ionic conductivities are very high compared with other IL-based membranes. ▸ Power density of 32 mW cm−2 was observed at 323 K under nonhumidified condition. ▸ Performance deterioration from 353 K was explained by block of gas channel in GDEs.
