Abstract
⺠Modeling of JP-8 fuel reformer integrated with a tubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack. ⺠Autothermal reformer (ATR) is characterized to obtain optimum performance. ⺠System does not require external energy and steam at steady state. ⺠System efficiencies of 39.5% and 32.6% observed at ATR temperatures of 700 °C and 850 °C, respectively. ⺠Optimum operating range suggested by conducting parametric analyses.
