Abstract
► Ca-Sm-Ce mixed oxides were synthesized via cellulose templating method firstly. ► Maximum solubility limit of CaO in CeO2 was found to be 9.4 mol%. ► It was observed that Sm+3 expands the CeO2 lattice more than Ca+2. ► Conductivity of Sm0.1Ca0.1Ce0.8Ox was found to be 0.032 S cm−1 at 800 °C.
