Abstract
⺠Novel effect of Al(OH)3 powders on Al/H2O system for hydrogen generation was demonstrated. ⺠Fine and poor crystalline Al(OH)3 powder acts an effective additive to the Al/H2O system. ⺠A proposed reaction mechanism for the enhancement of hydrogen generation was given. ⺠The reaction is able to rapidly produce hydrogen in a speed of 70% yield within 30 min.
