Abstract
► A simple solid-liquid grinding/templating method is used for the synthesis of Sn-C nanocomposite. ► Sn nanocrystals with the sizes of 3-5 nm are embedded in graphitic ordered mesoporous carbon walls. ► The new Sn-C nanocomposite as an anode material exhibits excellent electrochemical performance.
