Abstract
▸ Nano-sized Li2FeSiO4 was synthesized by sol-gel method using as an anode material for lithium ion batteries. ▸ The Li2FeSiO4 anodes delivered an initial discharge capacity of 880 mA h g−1. ▸ The anodes exhibited excellent cycling and rate performance. ▸ Ex-situ XRD, XPS and cyclic voltammograms have been analyzed and interpreted to conjecture the reaction mechanism.
