Abstract
⺠Direct carbon oxidation is possible in molten Ag anode of solid oxide fuel cells. ⺠The molten Ag anode impedance is very high. ⺠The impedance of the electrode is limited by diffusion of oxygen in the Ag phase. ⺠Potential is governed by dissolved oxygen concentration in Ag at the electrolyte. ⺠In Ag-Sb alloy anode with charcoal, potential of Sb-Sb2O3 equilibrium is observed.
