Abstract
⺠Hydrothermal oxidation of Al metal particles was carried out at elevated temperatures. ⺠It formed a core-shell structured Al2O3@Al metal-ceramic composite. ⺠The structure offered superior heat conductivity, surface area, and hierarchal pores. ⺠We used it as a support of ruthenium catalyst for methane steam reforming. ⺠The catalyst resulted in significantly enhanced hydrogen production yields.
