Abstract
⺠Increasing force on an EDLC cell only provides a limited increase in the capacitance. ⺠The force shifts the pore distribution of a porous electrode toward overall smaller pores. ⺠The surface area which is attributable to small-sized pores is difficult to be accessible. ⺠Different activated carbons exhibit different behaviors when force was applied to the electrodes.
