Abstract
► We introduce a general computational model for alkaline membrane fuel cells. ► The model is adjusted and experimentally validated. ► The existence of optimal membrane KOH mass fraction was experimentally demonstrated. ► AMFC steady state and dynamic response were simulated and analyzed. ► The model could be a tool for simulation, design, and optimization of single AMFCs.
