Abstract
⺠An air-cooled system to maintain safe Li-ion battery operating temperatures was designed. ⺠The role of state-of-charge on battery thermal behavior was identified. ⺠Li-ion battery cooling with ambient air is a viable solution. ⺠This design is more energy efficient than traditional liquid-cooled designs.
