Abstract
⺠Dynamic evolution of liquid water is analyzed using flow visualization. ⺠Analysis yields flow regime maps, contact angle hysteresis and dynamic characteristics. ⺠Significantly higher critical (detachment) air velocities are observed compared to the literature. ⺠In film flow regime, droplet aspect ratio and hysteresis decrease, reducing water removal capacity.
